WHAT I DO
I was the first Social Media Editor in Australia and now work in the not-for-profit sector in social media management, communications and high-level strategy. I have experience in social media training, management, strategy formulation and implementation, analytics, audience insight and follower growth.
I have over 18 years of media experience (I know, I cannot possibly be that old, right?!) in print, online, newswires, TV and radio, I can help with practical advice or strategic planning for media and publicity campaigns. I also have a special interest in risk mitigation. I have conducted both media training and interview technique.
Writing & Editing
I have experience writing across a range of topics, including highly technical and business content. In addition to my large editorial portfolio, I have also written website content, blog entries and corporate brochures. I can also edit and re-purpose content for more audience-targeted approach to engagement.
Publicity & Crisis Management
I have worked in publicity and crisis management for a number of private clients, as well as in several of my full-time roles. I have conducted publicity campaigns for several causes and achieved wide-ranging media coverage in both traditional and trade press.
I started out as a journalist 18 years ago and have had the privilege of working across an enormous spectrum of platforms and topics, both in Australia and overseas. Last year I combined my love of communications and media with my passion for social justice and now work primarily in the not-for-profit field. While I am a digital native, I’m passionate about communication on every platform and getting a true insight into an audience so you can create appropriate, engaging content.
